Resizing causes Distortion

I'm new to XnView. I have a .tif image that I'm trying to resize, however, it just distorts and I haven't been able to figure out how to resize it without distortion, if anyone can help. Thanks!

Just to make sure: Do you have "Keep ratio" in Resize dialog activated?

Perhaps the X and Y resolution of your TIFF images is not equal. Could you please check what the "Change dpi" dialog says for your images? You open the "Change dpi" dialog by using menu "Image > Set dpi" in image view mode.
