An annoying behavior in the browser tree

Post by BlackWinny »

Hello Pierre and everyone !

I encounter a new behaviour with the last version 1.93.6 (in french)

I take an already used example of browser tree image to explain my problem :
Image

Before this version 1.93.6 when I clicked a + in the browser tree in the left panel, it didn't move the right panel to this folder, it just expanded (or collapsed) the folder tree to show the subfolders and so on. And in the right panel I always kept my current folder. Excellent for a Copy or Move operation...

Then, I have just loaded and installed 1.93.6 few hours ago, without deleting my previous parameters, in order to keep them as they are. And now, when I click a + in the browser tree... I always loose my current folder in the right panel, it immediatly goes to the folder although I don't click the folder name but really the + symbol.

I've looked in the parameters in the "Options" window.

In french I select the "Parcourir" part on the left of this little "Options" window. For this "Parcourir" part, there are three tags on the right, respectively "Parcourir", "Arbre des dossiers", and "Divers".

Here is my last actual configuration after many combinations :

Presently...

In the "Parcourir" tag :
  • the checkbox "Synchroniser..." is not checked Image
  • the checkbox "Rafraichir automatiquement" is checked Image
In the "Arbre des dossiers" tag :
  • the checkbox "Mettre les répertoires à jour avec Rafraichir" is checked Image
  • the checkbox "Comportement de la souris à 1 clic" is not checked Image (in fact, I don't know the meaning of this option...)
I've tried all the 16 binary combinations of these checkboxes above, each time with a restart of XnView. The behaviour of the browser tree remains bad.

Is there something I've forgotten ?

Thanks !

Hello Pierre !

Yes, I have.

In french this checkbox is named "Fermeture automatique", in the tab "Arbre des dossiers" opened by "option/Browser/Folder tree"
(in french "Options/Parcourir/Arbre des dossiers").

But whatever the status of this checkbox, the behaviour remains the same. I have tried it.

:?

Best regards !

Thank you, XnTriq. So I'm soothed.
