Nowadays the most of PCs has more than one processor , i think is good idea to make Xnview with support for multicore image processing.
When i open an image file in a folder that has a lot of images , Xnview take a lot to navigate around these images , i think with multicore support , Xnview take less to navigate.

I also find xnview viewer to be very slow to navigate around images in a folder.
I don't think this is a processor issue.
it's rather a i/o bottleneck.
Some read ahead procedure would be more than welcome to drastically speed things up.
now, to have xnview multithreaded is always a good thing and could certainly speed up the batch operation for example.
