About Image Crop and Canvas Size

Post by joe1203 »

Here is a few suggestion
1) Canvas Size
For example, I have ton of image and I would like to reduce their width by two pixels, it is not possible to use "Screen size" or "Print size" as I need to enter the "actual width - 2". Is it possible to enter the amount of width/height to be added/removed instead?

2) Crop
Current cropping feature requires user to select a region on screen, I wonder if I can click on the status bar and enter the X,Y,width and height (or similar feature to enter specific location and dimension)?

Thanks :D :D :D :D :D

In batch processing <ctrl +u>, resize canvas function has a 'Use delta' option recently added for that. Negative values will shrink it, as expected.

Currently, entering X,Y, width & height and thus setting the selection is not possible. Perhaps a good suggestion...

Yes! But how come it is missing in "manual operation"? Is it hidden somewhere else?

Simple answer: During Batch processing there's no user interface, so you need parameters X,Y, width, height to specify cropping.

Currently the only way is to move mouse to X,Y position displayed in the statusbar, then press mouse button and drag the mouse until the selection has desired width & height (displayed in statusbar).

What I mean is the missing of "size delta" option in resize canvas function in manual operation
