1.93.6: Saved main window size equals maximized size
Depending on my needs I maximize the XnView main windows and set it back to normal size.
Sometimes when double-clicking on the titlebar of the window to de-maximize the XnView main window, nothing happens. Then I double-click again and again nothing happens. Then I find that the window had been maximized and double-click a third time and move it to finally resize it. For some reason the size stored by XnView equals the screen size and thus the problem occurs.
All in all a bit annoying behaviour and I wonder how novice (computer) users handle this situation. Do other people experience this behaviour?

I've seen this with other applications, but never with XnView. What are your settings?helmut wrote:Do other people experience this behaviour?
- Tools » Options...
- General » Operations » Startup
- [x] Maximize XnView at Startup
- [ ] Use different position/size for browser & view
[ ] Remember last window position/size

I think I had all the default value. The problem doesn't occur very often, I'll keep an eye on it...XnTriq wrote:I've seen this with other applications, but never with XnView. What are your settings? ..helmut wrote:Do other people experience this behaviour?
It's a very old bug, it looks it was fixed partially, I don't have the same result, but I don't maximize window, or maximize and restore immediately, I'm using these options:
[x] Use different position/size for browser & view
[x] Remember last window position/size
And when I maximize viewer, close xnview, start xnview, de-maximize viewer, the viewer window has the same position/size as browser.
I think it's a Windows bug, but it's possible to fix it, the same bug was fixed just few weeks ago in Avant Browser.

Same bug http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... highlight= and one way to reproduce it. Viewing the image in fullscreen is the culprit in this case.

Ah yes, ckv. In topic 1.92: Window pos/size save bug the problem is described with steps to reproduce it, already.
So another duplicate bug report. Lets continue discussions in the other topic.

Maybe you could merge these topics, cause I think you explained the problem much better than me.helmut wrote:Ah yes, ckv. In topic 1.92: Window pos/size save bug the problem is described with steps to reproduce it, already.

The forum software does not support merging topics. Let's simply keep both topics.ckv wrote:Maybe you could merge these topics, cause I think you explained the problem much better than me.helmut wrote:Ah yes, ckv. Not needed

• phpBB 3.0 is not needed to get the "Merge" feature.
- We have it for a long while in the Total Commander forum, just install a Modification…

Re: Not needed
I know it's not needed, but I think Soeren don't like the modifications and he's quite busy. And phpBB 3.0 has MANY other great features I miss (as user and moderator).
