Usability: Need for Thumb Options Previews

I searched but did not find this exact topic. Perhaps Mr. Librarian can help.

Using my new plan of alternate XnView.ini files for every task profile, I find myself again struggling with designing thumbnails of files and folders.

The reason is that there are no previews on the Options dialog pages for thumbnails, labels, etc. This leads to many iterations of:

• 1) Adjustments in the Options dialog
  2) Click OK
  3) Review results
  4) Click Options and
  5) Start over

One solution would be an Apply button, but for the long term...

Please implement previews for file thumbs and folder thumbs on the Options dialog pages where they are defined. Perhaps a single preview with two thumbs: one folder thumb and one image thumb, side by side?

Also, it is important that ALL options be available from the dialog (such as folder colors, which currently aren't).

Usability extends to the Options dialog, too... don't you think?
