resize depending on picture size

Is it possible to resize a picture (jpg) depending on its size?


I would like to resize pictures which are not smaller or equal than 2000x1500 pixel.

Can I test the picture size with nconvert?

But now I figure out that my problem is more difficulty.


I have pictures which are mostly 4000x3000 (landscape) and 3000x4000 (upright format). The target size should be 2000x1500 or 1500x2000 respectively.

So I think I have to use the resize faktor in percent. Can I tell nconvert to resize 50% but not smaller than one side would be 1500 pixel?
