iptc template in batch processing

Post by paparaz »

hi guys
when i open the batch processing window\trasformation\image i find only
a destructive :clean iptc command
but i cant add an iptc template to the batched files
maybe it is possible to do it from the add script on the foot of the window
any ideas
would it be possisble to add a : load iptc template as a feature in the batch processing window
thanks
paparaz
ps
it would be useful also in the convert window of xn shell extension
btw great tools you made!!!

still asking

hi
i tried out
xn shell extension
its good but if you have to look through pictures chose the best and than put them in a different folder with only the chosen files to be sent away resized with iptc description compiled
you still have to make two operation .
first add iptc template than convert and save to the destination directory
it would be so much better to be able to to it only with one operation , namely
convert, with a checkbox add iptc template

Hello,
In fact your suggestion is :
Is it possible to integrate the "add IPTC template" function (from an .ipt file) into bath processing ?
Why not, it's a good idea, I support.

FYI: but you already can do that in few mouse clic :
Tag or multi-select files + "ctrl+I" + "Load template from an .ipt file" + "Write all selected"

batch processing + iptc

Post by paparaz »

thank you ops for the answer
i am already batch adding iptc template in the way you suggested
what i wish is a way to do it in the batch processing dialog box so that
when i download pics from the camera to the download folder , i look through
them with with xn view , when i find one which is worth sending away ,batch process resizing it and saving it in a send away folder ,leaving the original file untouched .
when i insert an iptc template is a template telling general purpose , namely: the name of the phtoghraph the credit or the town .
only afterwards i go to the sending away folder and modify pic by pic the description .
that's why i think it would be best if in the batch dialog box there was
a checkbox letting you to add your personal template directly,if you made already one

I hope i explained well what i meant i am not native english speaker
thanks
