Filters not working

hey, i got a little problem - hope you can help

i'm using xnview 1.93.6 pretty long, but in the last few days i get more and more into the program an use pretty much functions.
after a holiday i wanted to use some filters to enhance the quality of my images - before i made it only to a few images with gimp.... but now i want to apply it on every image.
most functions work pretty well, but some will not work. for example 'sharpen'. i can see the sharped image in the little preview - but if i want to apply it an the image, nothing happens! also with detail, edges and focus - they all do not work...

whats wrong? any suggestions?

mmh, seems like a bug in this version 1.93.6...i installed a older version 1.82.4 and everything works fine!

The last final build (XnView 1.94.2) works, without any prob.

Some effects can only be seen if you have zoomed your image to 100% or more (200%).

I feel this effect is so subtle [Enhance Focus] that NO changes are taking effect!
It's odd but the small 'after' picture definitely shows improvement when compared with
the 'before' picture but then when returning to the File picture no focus improvement is seen.
