batch conversion - keep subfolder structure

I have tried to understand the above feature by reading the appropriate threads in this forum, but without success.

The option seems to have no effect.
Picture is in "M:\Bilder\Sport\20080920_120014.jpg" and should be placed in
"T:\Bilder\Sport\20080920_120014.jpg" after conversion, where M: and T: are Shares on a Samba server.

Case 1: Directory = "T:\", only "keep originales date/time attributes checked
Result: Converted picture is "T:\20080920_120014.jpg"

Case 2: as Case 1, but "keep sunfolder structure" checked
Result: as case 1

Is this a bug, or am I missing something here?

Same Results btw when working local drive.

Ok, the common folder structure is only created.
For example, if you convert "M:\Bilder1\Sport\file1.jpg" & "M:\Bilder2\Sport\file1.jpg" then "T:\Bilder1" & "T:\Bilder2" will be created
