stretched images

Post by bugmenot »

I downloaded some of the Freefall comic strips but when I view the image in XnView, they appear stretched:

Image

Zoom is not the problem since I set it to 100%.

When I viewed in a browser (either local files or direct url) or in IrfanView they appear correctly.

Heres an example image:

:) Hello !

• I guess that you might check your option View >> "Auto image size" [_____] …

Didnt help.

May someone at least confirm if they can reproduce the same problem?

Edit: I found the problem: Its the image's DPI. But I still wonder why it doesnt cause a problem for browsers or IrfanView.

Bug … ?

:) Hello !

• I get the same wrong display.

• It works in old versions of XnView (1.80.3 and 1.82.4)… and in other viewers I've here (Imagine - Universal Viewer…).
- I seems that something is broken around the option General >> "Adjust zoom if X / Y DPI are different"…
- That option didn't exist in old versions (at least, I didn't find it).
- So, I think there's a :bugconfirmed:

Hello,
The problem with these pictures is the Print Size, I think (see in the Properties tab).
Just do into the view mode:
Images\Resize\ check the box "Keep print size" and save a copy (you can probably also use the batch processing (Ctrl+u) ?).
But maybe an other way exist ???
