Batch Rename and thumbnail preview
I like the flexibility of the batch rename feature. If there is thubmnail preview at the time of the renaming, i.e., not only the filename show up there, but also the preview of pictures for people to drag and drop pictures to rearrange them, it would be perfect!

I fully agree - a thumbnail preview in the batch rename can be helpful in various situations.davidlu wrote:I like the flexibility of the batch rename feature. Batch Rename
I think I might get a lot of benefit from the Batch Rename instruction.
But how does it work? Suppose I want to change a mass of file names from, eg, XXX## to Y-##. How do I do it?
I can't find any help text on this.
Glad of any help.

Well, say I downloaded a lot of imagefiles with names such as:
Exeter Cathedral West Front 001.jpg
Exeter Cathedral West Front 002.jpg
....
Exeter Cathedral West Front 082.jpg
I hate filenames with spaces in them.
And anyway, I want to use a simple code (eg 497) instead of a text in the name.
So I want an easy way to change those filenames to:
497-001.jpg, 497-002.jpg .... 497-082.jpg
Hope that's clear.
Thanks for any help
