- BTW :: I don't remember what is the default, if it's "ON", then a fresh INI is not relevant…
- You might test with the option "OFF" (untick the box) under XP-Pro.
- No extra INI-option for that.

Most certainly, the option "ON" by default should be better, but it depends on the Pierre's thought about this…
• I left the option "OFF" in all versions to spot really damaged files which could cause a big crash…
- But in the case, I don't see what is so faulty in the B & W TIF we are talking of…

thanks again for all the replies--so do you guys think the file i sent out is corrupted? because it's straight out from my fax machine... altho yeah, i seem to get much better file sizes w/ ccitt 4 than 3. are u guys able to convert 3 to 4 w/ xnview?
