Would be nice to be able to configure file deletion behavior. Example: no confirmation prompt for files but confirmation for folders.
Also, but not as critical, to be able to delete without sending to the Recycle Bin

Re: Ability to delete files without Y/N prompt
I too would very much like to have a separate option to always confirm folder deletion please. It would give me far greater confidence in using XnView of not accidentally deleting a folder without knowing - something that has happened to me several times before with XnView. I would notice at some point that a folder was no longer there, or just happen to notice it in the Recycle Bin when I was emptying it.
I have "Confirm file delete" disabled to be able to cull pictures easily, and "Delete to Recycle Bin" set to be able to fix mistakes, but it would be much better to have confirmation so that whole folders don't get unknowingly deleted. In the version of ACDSee that I was using, the option is called "Always confirm folder delete". Many thanks!

So these 2 secure options are welcome:
"Always confirm file delete"
"Always confirm folder delete"

Re: Ability to delete files without Y/N prompt
For me it's also a bit of a horror to accidentally delete a folder full with files. A really nice and helpful variation/feature would be "Confirm deletion if folder is not empty".

+1 for that variation: "Always confirm folder delete if not empty"
