Browser not retaining window size

Post by stevvie »

If I press enter on a picture to view it in a window, then press right arrow to goto the next picture then press enter again to return to browser view the window stays the size of the picture. This is VERY annoying if the last picture was a small one and i can only see about 8 thumbnails, I am then having to maximize the window all the time. I have "Use different position/size for browser & view" ticked under interface in the options but that seems to make no difference. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to keep the browser a set size, I usually use the browser with it's window maximised.

Thanks

Right, it's not working good, but it's a known issue.

The problem lies in maximizing the window. Don't do that, but instead just resize the browser window to fill out the whole screen. That fixed the problem for me.
Get the bugs fixed, THEN start adding features. It sucks, but someone has to do it.

I don't have this problem, assuming I'm doing the same thing you are:

Press ENTER on thumbnail from Browser, image opens in Viewer
Press right arrow on toolbar (NEXT FILE) and new image opens in Viewer
Press ENTER on new image and return to Browser

When I return to the Browser all is the same as when I started except that the new image is now in Preview window as expected.

Then you probably have, like me, "Use different size/position for browser & view" enabled under INTERFACE -> WINDOWS.

I have this problem with "Use different size/position for browser & view" enabled and even if not using 'maximize', sometimes.

Danny, I can't replicate the problem the OP is having with or without "Use different size/position for browser & view" enabled. Seems fine at this end, regardless.
