I noticed that all other settings in the first start Configuration wizard are reset every time you change the language. This probably happens because XnView reloads the whole dialog to update the language, but preserving the settings that are already changed should not be a problem.
It's not a big problem when you know it, but it can be really confusing if you don't notice it when it happens.
