Slideshow: Next picture with mouse click does not work

Post by TakenUsername »

Hello!
I have the situation that the slide show does not switch to the next picture when I click the left or right mouse button. But the text 'Taste oder Mausklick verwenden' suggests that this is possible.
To reproduce do this:
1. Install the latest version of XnView
2. Start XnView
3. Open diashow dialog
4. Add some pictures
5. Select 'Taste oder Mausklick verwenden' ('Button or mouse click' in english?)
6. Click 'Starten'.
7. Do single mouse click. HERE the dia show should switch to the next picture but it does not. Also only the space bar does the switching to next picture, not all buttons like the text suggests ('Tasten'). May be only the text is wrong??

I hope it helps to make this great Software a bit better.

Greetings

Christian

It looks like a default setting was changed. There is a new option for it though:
<More Options>... [x]Enable navigation with left and right mouse button

I think that this is a bug in 1.95 and 1.96 beta 2:
By default, when checking "Use Keyboard Press or Mouse click" a mouse click should navigate to the next image.

The option "[x] Enable navigation with left and right mouse button" does have impact on the behaviour of the mouse click, but if unchecked a mouse click should behave as described above.

I tried with activated and deactivated option " [x]Enable navigation with left and right mouse button". It changes nothing at the diashow:
Left mouse click does nothing, right mouse click does nothing. Only the double click closes the diashow.

But I found out that the mouse wheel can be used to change the picture. But that is independent from the selection "use timer" and "Use Keyboard Press or Mouse click". It also works if the timer is active. May be that's also a bug?
