Any chance to incorporate into XnView the concept of "Sessions" some web browsers have? Meaning to save the current state of the app: all opened images with zoom and panning positions, and maybe also MDI windows position if the views are tiled or freely arraged?
I usually compare and check some web mockups and other images of that kind and found once closed i need to repeat the process and reopen all the images again.
