Moving images within a folder by drag and drop?

I tried to move images within one folder by drag and drop and it doesn't work. Instead of moving the image to the desired position, the programm copies the file to annother position. Can anybody help me?

Copying and moving files in XnView using Drag&drop works the same way as in Windows Explorer:

Drag & drop (no modifier key pressed):
On same drive: Move
On different drive: Copy

Shift + Drag & Drop:
On same drive: Move
On different drive: Move

Ctrl + Drag & Drop:
On same drive: Copy
On different drive: Copy
