Slideshow file sort sequence

Post by Richmo »

I've just discovered XnView and am very impressed. But I have a problem with the order of files in slideshows. Sort by name gets files displayed in following order; P9060001, P9200069, P9200068, P9200067 and so on. Sort by name descending gets; P9200069, P9060001, P9060002, P9060003 and so on. All files are JPEG.

Hope someone can explain what I'm doing wrong.

Sort with arrows

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• The sorting is not always quite perfect as expected, please use the Search here with SortUpper=3 as a keyword…

• When you create a slide show, you may move the images names in the list (last dialogue-box)
by using the up¦down arrow-buttons (the two last ones at up-right).
- I confess that it's pretty tedious with a lot of files, but I don't know another way to do…

 Kind regards,
Claude

Slideshow file sort sequence

Claude, thanks for the response. Actually the files show in the window in the "correct" sequence.

However, if I sort by name descending and then use the arrows to move the last slide to the top, I seem to get the sequence I want. So I guess that's what I'll do for now.

Thanks again
:)
