thumbnail scrolling too smooth?

Post by herr_k. »

i am not sure when this exactly happend,
but it seems to me that my scrolling through the thumbnails is a lot slower, because it is "Smooth", like when you choose in a web browser "smooth scrolling".

how can i go back to the old scrolling method?

what i discovered  ,
why didnt someone mention this before  .

i have, like said before, really slow "smooth" scrolling when i use my notebooks touchpad scroll, also due to the fact, that my graphics card is in "powerplay" modus, means its downclocking when in 2D mode.

but!

when you position the mouse cursor to the title bar in browser mode and scroll from there, the scrolling through the thumbnails is fast and instant,
without "smooth" scrolling.

i dont know if this is related to my mouse/touchpad driver?
somebody have the same behaviour?

cheers

@pierre:
is it possible that you make a switch/option,
where one can set the scrolling behaviour (smooth|instant) ?

my graphics-card is kinda slow when downclocked and maybe others with
older computers could need the switch.

smooth scrolling is unbearable here and i dont want to move the cursor always to the titlebar of the window.

hm, sorry,
seems like this is only happening when i use my notebook-touchpad and scroll with my finger on the edge of it.

with my scrollbutton on the mouse everything is normal.

so its my alps touchpad driver doing this!
someone knows of a fix maybe?
