Search: Limit to specific categories

I have done my own indivitual cathegories and placed diverse files there. now I would like to selct these cathergories and serch in description, but only in the choosen cathegories? not possible, or?

What if you took the name of the category say "portugal" and added it as an IPTC tag to all the photos in that category would that not do the same thing?
