Slideshow to start with a fade?

Hi,

I'm using XnView to display a playlist (on random) including photos and video files on a secondary display. The videos play through ffdshow fine, but after a video file has finished playing the next picture shows on the screen immediatedly with no transition.

Just transiting from black would be fair enough, at the moment it's rather annoying when the first pic bangs on the screen and everything else goes smoothly... You figure any way around this?

really a bit trivial to waste dev time or risk memory leak and errors - and there a still a few of those relating to video playing.

Perhaps you could add a black picture as the first file, as workaround.
