Resolved: Middle click on tab issue

Post by JohnFredC »

For a while there in previous XnView versions I could click the middle mouse button on a tab to close the tab. Now, at least with 1.96, nothing happens in response to that middle click.

Is it related to the XnView version, or have I inadvertently changed an ini setting, or perhaps some other software has stolen middle click?

Suggestions on how to research this issue, anyone?

Thanks.

There is a difference here?: Options>Interface>[x]Use Windows theme style for tabs

Toggling that option didn't fix the problem.

I have racked my brains and may have thought of something else to try. Will post here if it succeeds.

I thought that removing an application that exclusively used the middle mouse button would help...

...but it didn't.

The middle mouse button still works great in XnView for toggling full screen mode, navigating folders, etc. It just no longer will close a tab.

Perhaps this thread should be moved to Bugs.

Marsh's suggestion was the correct one, after all. All OK now.
