Hi there,
Any help would be appreciated.
When I try to save a slide show as an EXE/SCR, I get a windows Save As dialog box. However, there is nowhere to type the file name. I also can not browse for folders. Simply clicking the save box does nothing.
I am a little perplexed. I might be doing something stupid, but I am not quite sure what that might be.
My specs are as follows:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Compaq (HP) SR5152NX
AMD 64X2 Dual Core Processor 4000
32 Bit operating system
XnView Version 1.96 for Windows
Thank you very much,

Re: EXE/SCR save as dialog error?
In the 'save as' dialog box, you can enter the filename at the bottom

Re: EXE/SCR save as dialog error?
Pierre,
Thank you for the fast reply. Actually, I can not enter the file name at the bottom of the save as box, that is the issue. There is nowhere for me to enter the file name. There is no default name, no nothing, the entire file name field is missing.
Please see a screen shot of the issue here:

Thanks for the reply. Any more suggestions would be most appreciated.

Very strange, on Xp no problem. You should have a text field...nightowl72 wrote: Please see a screen shot of the issue here:

Re: EXE/SCR save as dialog error?
Me again,
I'm not sure if this matters or not, but when I try to just save an EXE/SCR I get the same error. Save as dialog box with no file name field.
Also, I just did a *complete* uninstall and reinstalled the newest version. It still does the same thing.
Any more suggestions?
Thanks
Shawn

Re: EXE/SCR save as dialog error?
**Update**
I have discovered that if I log into the actual "hidden" system administrator account, it works just fine. I thought I had tried that, but apparently not. The account I use all the time is an administrator account, but I have noticed that the actual hidden administrator account will do things or correct issues normal admin accounts will not.
As a side note, I also tried running the program in administrator mode from my normal administrator account, and that did not work either.
Anyway, since I can get it done in the hidden admin account, I am happy, and as far as I care, the issue is closed.
Thanks for all the help,
Shawn
