Renaming Custom Toolbar Buttons?

Post by ozy »

Hello,

I am teaching a user how to use XNView in conjunction with Adobe Photoshop to view, manage and edit pictures. Because he is not very computer-literate it's more user friendly for him to have text names on the toolbars. This works fine, but when I create a new toolbar button to say, open a file in an associated program (photoshop), I can see no way to give the button a custom name!

It would make more sense to the user to have a button named as "edit in photoshop" rather than "open with associated program".

Is this possible?

Regards,

ozy

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• Like you can see in our ONLINE MANUAL, a field is missing to set a customized¦change the default info-text for the buttons, and of course such a field could provide the button-label too…
- A lacuna I reported ages ago, thank you to hammer that nail again !

 Kind regards,
Claude
