Why are scrolling keys different in image and browser view?

Post by J Smith »

In the browser view, page up and page down operate normally and scroll up and down the thumbnails.

Control page up and control page down take you to the next directory. This is a useful function. I don't remember seeing this anywhere else.

However, in the image view, page up and page down take you to the next and previous images.

Control page up and control page down scrolls up and down the image. Shift up arrow and shift down arrow perform the same function.

This strikes me as odd.

The natural way would seem to be reversed: in the image view, page up and down should scroll the image up and down, and control page up and down, next/previous file.

Is there some reason for this?

Can the user change it?

It's a normal behavior, the same as in other image viewers.

It's not possible to change it - the only way is external application (search for HotkeyP in the forum).
