delete : button and key missed

I have the full version of Xnview on Windows xp (sp3 )

i do not have a delete button not in the browser not when i expand a image

I read here in the FAQ that delete has a key "del" but that key is not reported in the menu as the others and anyway clicking "del" doesn't have any effect

I searched in options but do not seems in the button i may add/remove from there

How to fix? ...and how is possible a button went missed ? (i remember i had oncethat "X" button ... but maybe was in the previous version and then was removed ? )

The delete button is in mini toolbar (on the left of path field)
