Input of IPTC-data damages images

Post by kardinal »

Hallo I use xnview 1.96 and Photoshop 6.0

After I put IPTC-data with xnview, the images became unreadable with Photshop 6.0.
It then says "could document not open, unexpected EOF (End of File)"

But if I delete the IPTC-data (overwriting with nothing), the images are readable again (uff!). Anyway, I now do not know how much images are affected so far, I use this version since it was released :(

Strange, i've never had this problem. Unreadable with xnview too?
Could you try again if you have it always?
And try with 1.96.1.

I'm able to open it with xnview, but not with Photoshop 6.
It is reproduceable - always.

With 1.96.1 the problem is gone. Perhaps I should add, that I use the zip-Versions of xnview, sorry I forgot to mention before!
