IPTC editing lossless?

Hi! does XnView support lossless editing?

IPTC data are metadata that are added "along" the image and embedded in the file. It shouldn't affect the image part at all...

Just to be quite sure :D , I used imagemagick "identify -verbose" to check that the Signature (ie: checksum) of the image was the same before and after IPTC creation/edition (I used all fields). Results => Same-Same... :mrgreen:

So yes: XnView does support lossless editing (just as it should be).

The browser's compare tool displays equal crc also (interesting to me because it shows that the image data is being checked (unlike a typical archiver which uses the whole file).
