hi there.
I tried searching for this a bit but there were a bit too many irrelevant results...
Anyway, if i am using the Viewer to view images in folder A, than 'save as' in folder B, the Viewer switches to viewing folder B onwards...
How can i make XnView not switch folders when i do this? Cause i kinda do it a lot. ACDsee doesnt do it, but i hate it as its slow and bulky, and its not even free.
Thanks.
Can i make the viewer >not< switch folders?

By default, XnView doesn't change the browser dir when saving an image. I guess the problem is caused by the way you close the image view:
- When using double-click on an image in image view, XnView switches back to the browser and does change the browser directory.
- When using 'Esc' key, menu 'File > Close' or Context menu 'Close', XnView will close the current view and keep the browser directory unchanged.
Which action do you perform right before XnView changing the browser dir? Is this your problem?

Hi, i appreciate the reply, but i dont think youve understood me.
I dont ever use the browser view. I double click an image in Total Commander and i use the image view (what i called viewer) to scroll through images, and if i edit one (like resize) and use save as to save it in a different directory, the image view continues to show images from the destination folder, instead of the original one. I want to continue scrolling through the original folder.
So, at no point do i double clidk in XnView, nor use Esc or file-close.
Its not such a big problem, but i would like it if i could set it not to do that.
