Colour Management - Strange

Post by irneb »

I've got some JPG's exported from Adobe Photoshop CS4. They're in CMYK format with an embedded profile of U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2.

Now their preview as well as opening them changes the hue to a lot more greenish. So under Options I turned on General --> ICC "Use ICC Embedded Profile (JPEG/TIFF) - Very slow". Then after a restart the images display properly. Now when I've got one opened & saveas (to e.g. PNG) it's converted properly to the RGB values (or at least as close as the human eye can detect). However when I use the Batch Processing feature, there's absolutely no change in this. Even if I use the ICC convert transformation in the batch processing. Only if I specify the USWebCoatedSWOP.icc file as input and check the "Ignore embedded profile" does it convert properly to RGB.

Somewhere along the line the Batch Processing does not work with embedded profiles.

By default batch convert keep the icc profile, but there is a problem if the original picture is in CMYK.
Could you send me your file?
Pierre.
