I'm looking at making a batch script to convert a 16bit half-float exr format to a jpg or other flattened 8bit sequence.
I do 3D animation and render into an EXR format that contains multiple channels and passes. Nconvert can read 8bit EXRs but not 32bit or 16bit half-float exrs. Anyone have any experience in converting/reading floating point EXR formats? It seams a bit redundant to support 8 bit EXRs but not the part of them that they are used for (ie floating point)
Cheers,
Rick

Re: EXR format
Are you planing on adding 16 bit and 32 bit support for open EXR... nconvert is the best tool for people doing 3d animation... addinng support for 16 and 32 bit exr would be so good... i might even cry when this appends
Thanks

Thanks
