Paste in the clipboard on selected base-point

What can I do to paste a screenshot from clipboard on a "selected base-point" in the existing picture?

- Pressing "Ctrl-V" pastes the clipboard on the top-left top. ..
- Making a selection area and pressing then "Ctrl-V" fits the clipboard to the selected area and distorts the clipboard...

MS Paint works fine with this problem. How to make it in XnView?

Just joined the xnview forum to post this long-awaited wish, but I see someone already did.

Hope to see this feature soon in xnview so I don't need to switch to ACDSee Photo Editor/Adobe Photoshop for simple copy/paste actions!
