Comparing Images

Post by filetmignon »

Is there a way to compare 2 images directly from Windows Explorer without having to open XnView first? And is there a "compare" button that I can put on the toolbar in XnView without having to go to Tools ---> Compare? Thank you.

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• Except via some Easter Egg hidden by M$, I don't see how you could compare images
(as views) without opening XnXiew…

• You can add a button for Compare, please have a glance HERE - The same IN FRENCH
- The ”Compare” icon exists now in the standard skins…

 Kind regards,

Perhaps the request could be addressed by a "Compare" command-line switch that accepted two filenames as parameters...

:) Hello John !
Perhaps the request could be addressed by a "Compare" command-line switch that accepted two filenames as parameters…
• Alas, such a switch doesn't exist yet, and moreover that should need a non-modal “Compare” window…
… able then to close itself plus the XnView EXE running in a background thread.
- But indeed the idea is appealing… 8)
