How to keep transparency when saving as multipage icon?

Post by angelos_cy »

Hi all!
This is the first time I use this great program and I find it very helpful. I have created some .ico files which I imported in a .dll necessary for a program of my pocket pc.
I have created several icons with transparency, but when I try to create a multipage windows icon, transparency is lost. Any idea why this happens?

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !
…I have created several icons with transparency, but when I try to create a multipage windows icon, transparency is lost. …
• Are the *.ico that you are using as “pages” 32 BPP ? I tested here with such files and that works…
- XnView processes the one-page icons as 32 BPP (i.e. to display them with the transparency in View and Thumb nails),
but probably doesn't convert those which are < 32 BPP when creating a multipage icon.
- You need also a 32 BPP screen colour depth.

 Kind regards,
Claude
