XnView is slow when i open the first picture

Hi experts,

(sorry about my english )
My problem:
When i open a picture this is going very quick! But when i want see the next picture in this folder i have to wait 1min. After this thinking-minute the changes goes also quick an without problems... Why the program need this minute... I had a lot of pictures(40000) but they are all in other folders... So the program not have to load all this pictures before it can show me the next...
I hope u understand my problem/question?

Which setting do you have for sort in browser?

U are a genius!!
I had "Sort by Type"(because i use RAW sometimes) and now i changed it to "Sort by Name"... That was it! Now it's really fast! Thanks a lot!

This is exactly the issue I came here to investigate - so thanks for identifying the problem!

Is there are chance this sorting delay will be reduced? I'd prefer to sort my files by type (always have done) but if it's at the expense of usability I'll have to live with the name sort for now.

The problem with "sort by type", is that xnview need to load header of all files!
