MP should save any changes made to Settings when the dialog closes.
If MP crashes after a setting is changed, the setting is not remembered.
This issue also applies to layout changes.

Yes but this is also the case for the XnView 1.9X standard version (same behavior)JohnFredC wrote:MP should save any changes made to Settings when the dialog closes.

I think this is normal, it's annoying, I agree, but when I change several options I always restart XnView - but this is not enough, I lost the preview and it's impossible to re-enable it completely, now I can see only preview or only file info (properties/EXIF...).

Re: MP 0.20 Win: INI changes not saved when dialog dismissed
A program that's as customizable as XnView should have Apply buttons on every “page” of the options dialog, IMO.
- The buttons should be grayed-out when you enter the dialog and become active when you make changes.
- Clicking an Apply button should write the settings of the current “page” to xnview.ini.

Very good idea, I support +1 (so into the tool bar I guess ?)XnTriq wrote:A program that's as customizable as XnView should have Apply buttons on every “page” of the options dialog, IMO.

Well, I think in the dialog, but for layout changes etc also, if they are not automatically saved, then a toolbar button "Save config" would be useful for peace of mind.Very good idea, I support +1 (so into the tool bar I guess ?)

Re: MP 0.20 Win: INI changes not saved when dialog dismissed
Saving changes right after closing "Settings" dialog is a good idea - but still not implemented.
Note:
Perhaps the settings could be split into "xnview.ini" and something like "xnsession.ini". "xnsession.ini" would contain all session related stuff like recent files, session, ....
Moved to "Suggestions"
