Few bugs are back with old xnview.manifest file only, following bugs are not present if xnview.manifest file is not there, so those bugs are in that file:

It's a problem with Xp, you must use "full row select"

But I can't select the files with a mouse then.
Now I see that it is possible even with "full row select" enabled, but only partially, it is not possible if the name is too long.
Now it is possible to select between two red lines only, it would be nice if you (Pierre) could make that it would be possible also between two green lines (with "full row select" enabled), but I don't know how...
• Just a suggestion: what about a xnview.exe.manifest file embedded in the main EXE, like we have for instance in Total Commander ?
- So, any version ß, RC or whatever could have the right appropriate file.
- It works even with a compressed EXE (that's the case for TC…)

Perhaps because some people for some reason prefer the classic buttons look, and incidentally don't want to have the bug Dreamer is on about. Just an random guess =)
What's wrong with the manifest file? you want XP buttons, just keep it in the folder and you have them out of the box. You don't want XP buttons (and/or want XnView to look good with full row select disabled), just delete it.
just my $0.02

I was talking about standalone vs embedded manifest. That would not change anything to this problem if it was inside the exe, as Clo suggested. Except that you would not be able not to use it (by simply removing the file from your XnView folder, unless Pierre adds an option for this.
