XnView.db

Post by UriF »

I understand that XnView.db is a database for pictures. I extensively used XnView for last 6 months and found out that this file size has been increased up to 850 Mb. I deleted pictures to different folders, deleted duplicates e.t.c. but file size has been increased anyway. Is any possibility to compact this database as it done in MS Access, MS SQL Server e.t.c.? You understand that size of database is a source of potential XnView crashes. I understand that I could re-install application but could you give more smart advice?

Yes, and make a "VACUUM" command on the DB.
Tools » Options... » Browser » Thumbnails » Cache » Optimize
