Convert file in thumbnail mode
Hello all! I have been using XnView for quite awhile now, and I have permanently banished Adobe Bridge!
Anyways, my request/suggestion is this: You know how when you are using Windows Explorer and you get that nifty right-click menu from the XnView shell extension which lets you change wmf to jpg on the spot? Well, I would like to have this capability WITHIN the XnView Thumbnail view mode. Presently one must use the batch-convert command from the menu and then spend a few moments making sure all the settings are correct. But the XnView shell-extension is so fast and convenient. We should be able to use this same feature right inside the browser.

Re: Convert file in thumbnail mode
You can kind of do this already when you have the shell extension installed.
Just hold Ctrl while you right-click a thumbnail in XnView and it will open the Explorer context menu instead of XnViews own menu.

Yes, but isn't that a pain to have to go explorer? One of the great benefits of XnView is that you don't need explorer. My point is that it the shell extension works in explorer but there is no equivalent in XnView's context menu.

You would like to have 'batch convert' from XnView in XnViewShellEx?
Pierre.

I think he wants Shell Extension menu from Explorer in XnView context menu.

That's exactly it. Thanks for the clarification; I suppose I didn't express myself well enough. -BGM

Re: Convert file in thumbnail mode -THANK YOU!
Well! I just downloaded the new version 1.9.7 and it has the convert-in-thumbnail menu in the right-click! Wonderfule! Thank you, XnView Makers!
Re: Convert file in thumbnail mode
This is just another example (of many such) why XnView is so great... the entire package: software, support, developer (who listens... and responds!!!!).

I love XnView. I tried out the Adobe Bridge once or twice, but it is soooooooo lacking in comparison with XnView. And no way could you ever get the developers to respond like the XnView developers do! Hooray XnView!
