I've been using xnview over last several years and I'm very pleased with it. But for now it has a lot of crashes. But it is not big problem to me except for one thing : when I startup xnview after crash it doesn't open last opened folder.
Is there any way to force xnview to write down "last opened folder" into .ini file each time when I change browsing folder?

Re: anti crash option
I can't answer this question exactly. But I have suspicion these crashes are connected with last nvidia drivers and active nview desktop.
Crashes happen in different situations. For example, it crashes when I switch from view image mode to browsing mode, when I switch form another program window to xnview, sometime it crashes when I just browsing folder with a lot of images...
When it crashes xnview doesn't give any massage of the error, it shuts down.
I don't have such problems with any other used programs. I'm using last version of xnview with win xp64sp2.
Thats why I don't report about bug because I can't define sequence of steeps leading to error.

Re: anti crash option
The is not in that. But seems to me I have found what leads to crash of xnview.xnview wrote:Could you try to disable option/View/Misc>Read ahead/Cache behind?
I have been working simultaneously with xnview and 3dsmax and often switch between them. Sometimes confusing windows I press F4 several times in xnview. This leads to crash xnview.
I checked it on different PC-s. Where by default .jpeg,.png... etc. in the explorer are not associated with an editor.
step by step:
1. run xnview.
2. open any jpg or png.
3. press F4 (rapidly) 2-10 times.
xnview crashed.

But when you press F4, the associated program is opened, and xnView is no more on focus...RGhost wrote: 1. run xnview.

Re: anti crash option
If no editor is associated for this type of file, focus is not lost and xnview is crashing.xnview wrote:But when you press F4, the associated program is opened, and xnView is no more on focus...RGhost wrote: 1. run xnview.
