PDF not displayed in Preview

I have XnView 1.97 in XP SP3 and until this version I have been able to see PDF files in Preview!
Not now!
Under Options > File List, PDF files are checked for Preview if smaller than 99.999 MB

Yes, I had installed a long time ago ‘PDFCreator-0_9_3_GPLGhostscript.exe’, which included GhostScript 8.54.
Then, in May 09, I installed PDFcreator v 0.9.8.
I use PDFcreator to print to PDF.

No, which version do you had before? And which version of ghostscript with PDFcreator v 0.9.8?

Notes I had written on XnView in late 2008 to early 2009 list all the formats I use that XnView displays in Preview.
It also mentions some versions that I had used, such as 1.90.3 and 1.95.4. However, I may not have tested that all these versions display PDF.

PDF doesn't show in Preview for version 1.97 nor in 1.96.2 (I just tried) -- I don't have any earlier EXE files to try.

Earlier, I had been using PDFcreator 0.9.3 which comes with Ghostscript 8.54.
Then, in May 2009, I updated PDFcreator to 0.9.8 which comes with Ghostscript 8.64.

I use GPL ghostscript 8.64 without problem.
Do you have a 'HKLM/GPL ghostscript/8.64' key in registry?

Maybe I should re-install PDFcreator or separately install Ghostscript?
