Slideshow does not suppress Screensaver and Powermanagement
Hi,
when using the Slide Show the screen saver and the power management is still activated, which causes my Screen to turn off after a while.
In several other applications there is a function, such us "suppress screen saver while playing" unfortunately I can't find it in XnView.
How to get around this issue without disabling the Screensaver manually every time before starting a slide show?
Is there any option I missed or is this feature not available yet?
thanks for your advise

Re: Slideshow does not suppress Screensaver and Powermanagement
Hi,
well i open Xnview, 1.96 running on Windows Vista, then I mark several Pics then click on "Slide show" in the menu bar and click on "Go" (only option i change is view on 2nd extended Monitor)
And then after a while without touching keyboard and mouse the display turns off.
So i think it is either the screen saver or the powermanagement which turns off the screen.
Never the less, i would like Xnview to supress it.

You have problem with screensaver?? On which system?
Pierre.
Re: Slideshow does not suppress Screensaver and Powermanagement
On my system, running Vista Home Premium, if I set the Power Option to turn off the display after 1 minute, start a Slide show which transitions automatically after 5 seconds, then after 1 minute and apporximatley 12 slides, due to no keyboard activity, the screens (I have dual monitors) go blank.
This is not a problem for me, as my 'turn off display' setting is normally 20 minutes, and I usually use the mouse or keyboard to advance slides, which would reset the display off counter each time in any case.
As for a screen saver, running the same slideshow does prevent the screensaver from activating, so works as expected on my pc.

Re: Slideshow does not suppress Screensaver and Powermanagem
It would be great to have this as a built-in option in XnView.
