REQ: Browse NEXT/Previous folder control

Post by lostcpu »

as I have set keyboard LEFT/RIGHT for next/previous file browsing in view mode, it's not necessary to set up/down for the same function.

so i just wondering than can you add an option to view the next/previous folder for keyboard LEFT/RIGHT and up/down

like I have folders below:

car/1/
car/2/
car/3/

in view mode or full screen viewing
if I set LEFT/RIGHT for previous/next file and up/down for previous/next folder, I'm browsing pictures in Car/2/
the view mode will browse pics in car/1/ when I press up, or browse pics in car/3/ when I press down.
then I don't need to switch back to browse mode to change the folders, right?

you know, for some persons like me who sort pic as the same type in same folder but different sort in different sub-folder, this is very convenient for a continuous browsing.

thx.

and happy new year, every body.

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !
…is it possible to make this function?
• AFAIK, not in View and Full screen modes as you wish…
- That's possible (more or less…) In Browser mode via the icons of the small tool-bar…
… “More or less” because this is only a volatile record of already previously visited folders :|

• A convenient workaround should be to be able to set extra icons in the upper normal tool-bar. Unfortunately, the old good CD <path\directory> command is not supported for the buttons !
- I requested such a support n… times, unsuccessfully :(
- Maybe to hammer this nail could help… :?

 Kind regards,
Claude
