Install a Newer Version of XNView

Suprised this answer is not on this forum but I want to know what is required to install a later version of XNview
Do you recommend uninstall of the old version or is is ok to reinstall over the older version.
Thanks for any help on what is recommended.

You can install newer version without uninstalling old version.

Typically the new XnView version contains all files that have been in the old installation or sometimes more. So it's enough to unzip the XnView ZIP archive over the other. If you want to be on the (very) safe side, you use a different target folder and delete the old fodler.

If you have used the XnView Setup to install XnView, I'd recommend to uninstall XnView using Windows Control Panel > Software > XnView and then install XnView usinig ZIP archiv or new XnView Setup.
