How to search in XnView

Dear team,
I am most impressed with XN view as a programme but am unable to set up or run searches for images in folders or sub folders.

Can you help please, sorry if this is a bit of a biff question but i have tried every option i can guess at.

Hi Angus

Browse a folder.

Then...

...on the main menu, go to:

Tools -> Search...

it would be better in thumbs mode if type a letter jump to the 1st file of that letter, like explorer etc
