Unknown Publisher in Windows 7

Post by NTheZone »

Has no one else encountered the unknown publishing error due to Windows User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 7 x64? I wish I could post an image. My install of Windows 7 is fresh and only 2 weeks old. I've gotten this error ever since the full (non-portable) install of XnView. Any suggestions for a fix?

Make sure "xnview.exe.manifest" exists in the same folder as "xnview.exe"

Somehow the problem self-corrected when I specified under Properties for xnview.exe to Run As Administrator. I have since unchecked that option, and have had no such warning reappear. I cannot state whether xnview.exe.manifest was there before the problem occurred, but it is there in the directory and was there before I got your post.
