Scrolling between pictures, how can I change the order?
Hi I am a new user of Xn and of this forum. I want to scroll between pics of a certain folder in the same order as the pictures are arranged in Windows folder. Right now, the program scrolls in a way I cannot understand. Is it the alphabetical order? Anyway, any help is much appreciated.

• You can choose the sort order in the Browser :
- Click the “Sort by…” button on the small tool-bar and select the wanted item. This choice is also applied in the View mode.

That's exactly my problem. XnView does not scroll in the order I have sorted the pictures in a certain folder.
Re: Scrolling between pictures, how can I change the order?
Hi mpempis, could you please post more details? Which sort order did you choose, in which mode (browser/view/fullscreen) do you go by what action (key/mouse/menu), and what do you do to scroll in images (key/mouse action) with which result and with which desired result? Cheers, Georg
In the XnView Wiki, you can improve the user guide / documentation / F1-help for XnView (classic/Windows) and for XnViewMP
Re: Scrolling between pictures, how can I change the order?
By default Windows Explorer sorts by name (Explorer > View > Arrange icons by > Name). By selecting View > Sort By > Name (numeric) in XnView browser you should get the same sorting. And this sorting will be retained during various XnView sessions and will not change till you change it the next time.
Please note that different Windows versions (XP, Vista, 7) may sort differently, so it's essential that you mention the Windows platform you are using.
