I have a folder of photos that the thumbnails are not displaying. Also the image window does not display anything when a file is selected.
I tried the different settings in Options.
I tried rebuilding the thumbnails.
I tried moving them to a different folder.
I tried upgrading the the latest version of Xnview.
I clicked the Optimize button in Options>Thumbnails>Cache (Don't know what it does but I was trying everything.)
If i double click, the image displays fine in viewer mode.
When I copied these files to my laptop Xnview displayed them just fine.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance for help and of course for Xnview.

Strange problem... And if you disable Caching (option/Thumbnails>Cache)?
Pierre.
Re: Thumbnails not displaying
I just tried that and it did not help.
I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the program and now no files will display thumbnails.
Strange thing is the folder thumbnails are displaying but if you click into a folder there are no thumbnails.
What's next?

Re: Thumbnails not displaying
I tried something else.
I uninstalled XnView.
I deleted the XnView folder from Program Files.
I deleted every reference the XnView I could find in the registry.
I then reinstalled and it seems to work now.

Re: Thumbnails not displaying
Good to hear that it works, again. Sounds like one or several settings had been wrong. E.g. in Tools > Options > Browser > Files one can easily change things in a way that you do no longer see thumbnails or any files at all.chuck902 wrote:... I then reinstalled and it seems to work now.
By removing all files and settings the XnView settings also have been removed and thus reset to standard.
